Welcome to the IECG Archives Page.

Here you can download most of the games played in our club since about 12 years.

The databases are available in standard PGN or ChessBase CBH formats.

The databases represent of course a lot of hard work by the archivist team, which is currently composed of 5 volunteers:

·         Jean-Luc Duriez (head) – regular email and discontinued tournaments. Integration.

·         Fausto Alava-Moreno - thematics.

·         Thomas Niessen – LSS games.

·         Laurent Tinture – world championships, cup, high level class and quads.

·         Leif Edvin Waerstad – cup preliminaries.

The coverage of the IECG archives and the various tournament types are explained here.

The games are offered for download as a yearly complete database, with regular updates every 3 months.

To build the latest IECG games database, simply recombine the full database together with any subsequent update.

ChessBase format is recommended. To exploit CBH files you must use some commercial chess software published either by ChessBase or Convekta, it is the best choice if you own Fritz or similar chess program, or the ChessBase or Chess Assistant database program itself.

The PGN format is a standard that is accepted by most chess programs, like the freeware ChessDB program
