IECG Staff

This page lists the IECG Staff members responsible for the different tasks within the organization. Please contact the appropriate person if you have specific questions, and keep in mind that these people are volunteering their free time to have IECG running !

Council 2009

The council is the executive and legislative board elected for one year.
Former Council members were: Jozsef Barta (HUN), Robert Dournes (FRA), Scott Kissinger (USA), Vania Mascioni (USA) chair 1999-2000, Lionel Frost (NZL) chair 2001-2002, Richard Kyllo (CAN) chair 2004, Anders Lind (SWE), Patrick Mary (FRA), Istvan Laczay (HUN), Goran Grkinic (CRO), Thomas Keller (USA), Jean-Bruno Desmoitier (FRA), Ortwin Paetzold (GER); Joop Simmelink (NED); Leif Edvin Waerstad (NOR)

Ratings Office

The database manager takes care of our members list and keeps track of suspensions/withdrawals. He also computes the new ratings and title norms every two months.

Registrations and Tutorial Office

Its task is to subscribe new members in the club, and to lead them through the first moves of a tutorial game, offering help as to timekeeping, notation, tournament rules, etc.

Tournament Offices

The Tournament Offices organize all the IECG Tournaments.

Tournament Secretaries

They run the individual tournaments. The address of your TS is indicated in every tournament report. If you have lost this data please contact the appropriate TD as listed above.

Arbiters Commission

This board is the IECG Appeal Instance. It also announces and keeps records of members suspended for breaking rules.

Titles Commission

This board controls and delivers the norms and titles.

Adjudicator

He has the important task of adjudicating games, for instance if a player withdraws and his opponents wants to get the games with him rated, or when the time allowed for certain tournaments has expired and the remaining open games are called in for adjudication

Games Archive Team

It collects all the games played in our organization, and offer them for download in a clean database.
