IECG Contact List

This page lists the IECG Staff members responsible for the different tasks within the organization. Please contact the appropriate person if you have specific questions, please count 1-2-3 before hitting that "send" button: these people are volunteering their free time to keep IECG running!. Since March 1, 1999 the IECG has elected a seven member Council to help speed up organizational and decisional matters.

If you have communications/enquiries of a general character please send them to the Chair, who will then relate them to the Council and Staff if necessary. If your problem is more specific, please look in the list below for the staff members responsible for the particular area. If your question is on rules or organization of IECG, please first have a look at our on-line documentation.
To study certain areas in detail, we have formed specialized Commissions. Click here to see who is who.

IECG Rating Official and List Managers -

Hector Mujica manages our membership list (please send any notice of change of address to him!) and keeps track of suspensions/withdrawals. If you have a question concerning the IECG Rating Scheme or your own rating, contact him. But please, before you send a question have a good look at our Rating Rules and the Examples for Rating, because you may find your answer there.

The Registration and Tutorial Office Secretary -

Albrecht is running our Registration and Tutorial Office. If you would like to join IECG please use our Registration Form. If your Web browser should not support forms please contact Albrecht directly via e-mail. In addition, Albrecht manages the Tutorial team:

The Tutors.

Our tutors are the pillars of the Tutorial Office. Their task is to lead the new players through the first moves of a tutorial game, offering help as to timekeeping, notation, tournament rules, etc. To register please proceed to our Registration Form!

The Tournament Offices:

The Tournament Offices organize all the IECG Tournaments. The "average" delay before the start of a Class Tournament (the most requested event) is about two weeks. Please be patient because we need to assure a good mix of countries and strength of participants (IECG is an international organization and so you should expect to play against people from all over the world). To request entry in a new match or tournament please use our Tournament Entry Form.

The Tournament Secretaries.

The Tournament Secretaries run the individual tournaments. All requests, information about changes (e.g. email address) and game results should be sent to the responsible TS. The address of your TS is indicated in the starting list and in every tournament report. If you have lost this data please contact the appropriate TD as listed above.

The Adjudicator - Mats Larsson

Mats has the important task of adjudicating games: this may be necessary for various reasons, for instance if a player withdraws and his opponents wants to get the games with him rated, or when the time allowed for certain tournaments has expired and the remaining open games are called in for adjudication

The Mailing List Manager - Jean-Luc Duriez

In order to function smoothly and to ensure direct communication to its members IECG needs an intricate web of mailing lists. Most of them are for internal use (staff, commissions, etc.) and one big (one-sided) mailing list is kept for general communications to all IECG members.

Hans Schoenbuchner is the creator of CLChess TM®, the essential tournament manager used by our Tournament Secretaries. Now the maintenance of the program is done by Richard Kyllo
